Katadyn Exstream Water Bottle Purifier Purpose and Action Utilizes advanced Virustat technology to kill over 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria and over 99.99% of waterborne viruses (as determined under the rigid U.S. EPA microbial water purification protocol.) Removes over 99.9% of waterborne cysts and other protozoa, such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium. Delivers 160 refills (100 liters/26 gallons) per replaceable cartridge. Prefilter removes sediments and elements that cause bad odor and taste. The Katadyn Exstream personal purification systems are designed for use with untreated fresh water sources, such as lakes, rivers and streams. They also provide protection against waterborne pathogens that may still be present in the tap water of many foreign countries. The Exstream system is also effective in emergencies, such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, or any time your service from a municipal water treatment plant fails.
